Village of Oak Creek & Big Park

Life in the Village of Oak Creek proceeds at a slightly slower pace than in neighboring Sedona. Most of the area’s golf courses are located in this area as described in this article entitled “On the Road in Arizona: Sedona’s golf vortex draws scenery lovers“. The area is surrounded by Coconino National Forest Service land. Many of the Sedona area’s most-recognized Red Rock monuments punctuate the scenery here, such as Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, Castle Rock, Courthouse Butte, and Lee Mountain.

As you can imagine, the area is laced throughout with fantastic hiking opportunities, including the Bell Rock Scenic Pathway (beloved by both hikers & mountain bikers) that winds around Bell Rock and meanders through rolling desert scenery to the Chapel area.
