Sedona Real Estate Market Statistics for Friday, April 8, 2011

I completely missed posting for Thursday, April 7th and am still catching up on the rest of it...spent Thursday-Sunday in the Phoenix/Valley of the Sun area at various technology, educational and real estate educational and networking events, including most notably Technopalooza at the Mesa Convention Center on Thursday, which brought together some world-class national and local Arizona trainers, vendors, and a great group of real estate agents who take time out of their busy schedules to become knowledgeable about the latest developments in real estate technology and best practices, in order to better serve their clientele. The other big event was Phoenix Real Estate BarCamp (also known as an 'un-conference'), an interesting way of interacting with and learning from agents and brokers who are also seeking to take their real estate business skills to the next level.

All in all it was very productive. Saturday and Sunday were spent in additional research and implementation (though in the case of Sunday that was due to the fact that the big Spring Storm that blew through Northern Arizona Saturday pretty much made it a bad idea to drive home)! As is often the case, by Sunday afternoon, everything was fine again.

There are times when being 'stuck' in a hotel room can give you that mental 'space' that allows you to forget the everyday tasks and focus on implementing something new. What was it?....that will have to be the topic of a later post!

As to Friday's acitivity, it followed recent patterns, with a goodly number of new Sedona Verde Valley MLS listings, almost as many listings back on market, and half again as many price reductions. Activity is still perking along in new escrows and closed sales, at about 1/3 to 1/2 of new entries. In other words, the inventory is building, a better result for Buyers than for Sellers in Sedona real estate and Verde Valley real estate.
