Amazing Arizona Stargazing Event Saturday & Sunday Oct 20 & 21-see it from Sedona Az!
We love our dark skies here in the high deserts of Sedona and across Arizona, largely because it gives us a prime ringside seat for stargazing and astronomical events such as the Orionids meteor shower expected tonight and Sunday night. If you're lucky enough to have a patio or deck away from city lights and with an eastern exposure, you can view them from home. Otherwise choose a suitable spot in the mountains and deserts that surround us or visit Lowell Observatory in nearby Flagstaff.
The Orionids provide spectactular meteor showers and are a result of fast trails of debris remaining from the famous Halley's Comet. Shower activity is expected to continue during late night and early morning through early next week.
