Catch the Holiday Spirit amongst the famous Red Rocks of Sedona at Red Rock Fantasy, a festival of more than a million lights adorning Sedona's natural beauty. This local tradition is in its 16th year in the heart of Sedona.
45 Displays created by families from across the Southwest compete to delight and awe visitors from all over the world, bringing joy to children and the "inner child" alike. They compete to win as well, and the prize is a vacation ownership at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa and other ILX Properties. There is also a "People's Choice" award, so don't forget to vote for your favorites! The contestants aren't the only winners here...every year a local Sedona charity is chosen to benefit from the proceeds. For 2006, the recipient will be The Institute of EcoTourism. In addition, Los Abrigados Resort hosts approximately 100 kids from the Phoenix Boys & Girls club for a fun overnight outing that includes a visit from Santa. Even visitors can win, just by coming to Red Rock Fantasy you will be entered into the 2006 contest!
You can travel through the scenes on foot or by carriage in a nostalgic journey past "Christmas, Then and Now", "Christmas in Retroville", "Christmas with Mickey Mouse through the Years", "A Cowboy Christmas" or more contemporary themes such as "Ride the Polar Express". Every year brings creative new interpretations of Christmas then...and now!
Come on out and join in the festivities, which run every night through January 1, 2007, with "Lights Out" at 10:00pm. Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for Seniors, and $4 for kids from 4 to 12. Call Los Abrigados for more information at 928-282-1777.
