As you travel west of the West Sedona area along West State Route 89A you will happen upon Upper Red Rock Loop Road, which makes a large lazy loop through amazing red rock vistas south of Route 89A and comes back out onto Route 89A on Lower Red Rock Loop Road to the southwest. In this rural, laid back area you will find cozy vacation homes, private luxury estates, horse properties, and some real "Old Sedona" homes, some of them with waterfront locations on Oak Creek or in the greenbelt areas. Though it feels a little more rural and remote, Red Rock Loop is still close enough to all the modern conveniences of West Sedona. Not only will you be surrounded by National Forest land, you will also find the famous Crescent Moon Ranch at Red Rock Crossing and Red Rock State Park with hiking trails and stunning views of Cathedral Rock - views that ignite a photographer's imagination.
Neighborhoods in Red Rock Loop range from moderately priced vacation and year-round homes in Cathedral Vista and Michael's Ranch to luxury homes and residential land in Eagle Mountain Ranch, Cup O' Gold Estates, and gated Cross Creek Ranch, where you can find beautiful creekside settings.
Subdivisions and parcels in the outlying areas on the west edge of Sedona are also a part of MLS area 43 and include such widely divergent offerings as The Aerie (a newer upscale Sedona luxury home neighborhood) as as well as 55+ manufactured housing at Sunset Hills.
If you like to be a little out of the hubbub and surround yourself with nature, the Red Rock Loop and Outlying areas of Sedona can be a perfect choice!
